Our Recommendations
We recently travelled to Puglia to get a small taste of all it was to offer. While there is so much more to discover, we've put together our best recommendations for all of you!

Borgo Egnazia is everything we expected and more. There is truly Nowhere Else we'd rather be with our closest family and friends. Here are our recommendations:
Borgo Egnazia

Let's start with our favourite place in Puglia: Borgo Egnazia.

We highly encourage you to stay at Borgo Egnazia for the following reasons:
- The Experience: We had tears in our eyes when we arrived and throughout the whole stay. We couldn't believe where we were! Borgo Egnazia makes the experience special from the very moment you get to their gates to the second you leave and you can only truly understand this by experiencing it.

- The Traveling: Borgo Egnazia is located in a remote area and the roads resemble one's you may have seen in any countryside Italian area: very lightly lit and somewhat difficult to navigate to say the least.
Our favourite cocktails

On to the fun stuff! Here are our favourite cocktails of the trip:

- Spicy Margarita on the rocks
- The Americano
Clothing

Clothing Recommendations:

- Light coverup's/jackets/pashminas for the evening.

- Very light clothing for the day. It is very hot, especially in the afternoon.

- For the ladies, we recommend bringing flats and wedges. Heels can be worn, but a more comfortable/thicker heel is recommended on the stone floors.
La Frasca for Breakfast

Breakfast is included for all guests staying at Borgo Egnazia. The hotel has two breakfast places to offer and as you can imagine, we have a favourite!

- La Frasca (our favourite) - Italian Breakfast (cheeses, cold cuts, fruit tarts, cakes, sun dried tomatoes and more!)
- Classic American Breakfast
Complimentary breakfast

Complimentary Breakfast in Villa Bella and Villa Deliziosa. You will be greeted daily by a lovely Massaia for all your breakfast and housekeeping needs.
Must See Places in Puglia

Lecce!

A city filled with history, food and love! If you're heading to the south of puglia during your time in italy we highly suggest stopping in Lecce for 2 nights.

Favourite Casual Restaurant: La Cucina Di Mamma Elvira
Favourite Romantic Restaurant: Duo (Michelin Star Guide Restaurant)

Where We Stayed: Pollicastro Boutique Hotel
Polignano a Mare

An amazing Italian beach town that you can't skip!

During your stay in Puglia, we highly recommend a day trip to their public beach. Grab some water shoes because the beach is rocky!

For lunch, you can't go wrong with any little restaurant on the strip. We went to Belvedere Damare and adored it!
Skip: We disliked our dinner at la Grotta Palazzese. The food was far from the excellent food we have throughout the other restaurants in Puglia, the service was weak and it was overpriced! If you're eager to see it, skip it for dinner and opt to go for lunch.
